Roger's Rangers
The exploits of Major Robert Rogers as related by author Kenneth Roberts,
in the epic novel "Northwest Passage", are captured in this painting by Mort Kunstler.
Here, Major Rogers steers his whaleboat into a cove off of the lake, in an effort to
duck a French-led Indian war party on patrol. Rogers, his Rangers, and Iroquois Pathfinders
successfully carried out the famous raid on Saint Francis.
