in the epic novel "Northwest Passage", are captured in this painting by Mort

Here, Major Rogers steers his whaleboat into a cove off of the lake, in an effort to
duck a French-led Indian war party on patrol. Rogers, his Rangers, and Iroquois
Pathfinders
successfully carried out the famous raid on Saint Francis.
