Major General "Ret" Kenneth C. Leuer, First founding director of the Ranger Memorial (Center of photo), leads his Rangers to the Dedication Ceremonies.

Ranger Leuer served in the United States Army for over 32 years, commanded at every level from Platoon Leader through Division Commander. He served as a Battalion Commander with the 101st Airborn Division in Vietnam. Retired from the U. S. Army as a Major General on October 1, 1998. His last duty assignment was as Commanding General, Fort Benning Georgia.

Ranger Leuer is an active member of the community and civic leader. His achievements, both as a Military Officer and civilian volunteer, are numerous. I consider him to be a personal friend as well as a Fellow Ranger. General Leuer has also entered the Ranger Hall Of Fame.

Best wishes in retirement from all of us Sir!   Hooah!
